Actor Rejects Anti-Vaxxer Position Following Voicing Controversial Pandemic Film

The acclaimed actor has provided his vocal talents to a new documentary that challenges the safety of vaccines and commends former health official RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Disputed Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is based on a well-known publication published by a disgraced researcher, who rose to infamy during the health crisis for assertions that the illness was caused by a bad strain of the flu vaccine.

The book's writing partner, a producer, has also written books with controversial media personality the Infowars host. The producer wrote online hailing Neeson's involvement in the film.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

The team of the actor have released a comment pushing back against claims that he supports anti-vax views.

"Everyone can understand that corruption may occur within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be confused with being against vaccines," the comment reads. "Liam never has been, and is not, anti-vax. His considerable work with the UN children's agency reinforces his enduring support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

It added that the performer was not involved in crafting the project's messaging and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the creators.

Central Assertions Within the Feature

According to the documentary, the narration spoken by Neeson features several provocative claims:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "science has become deeply politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured saying, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they simply are not properly vetted."
  • The film also criticizes stay-at-home orders, arguing they caused psychological harm that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of Covid vaccines, it mentions a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Background and Ongoing Disputes

It includes a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the focus of a correction by the broadcaster for editorial breaches.

Recently, the political figure instructed the Centers for Disease Control to alter its official position that there is no link between vaccines and autism. This supposed link is repeated in the film, despite a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation reiterating no evidence has been found.

A Past Position of Endorsement

Contrasting the documentary's narrative, Neeson has in the past shown strong support for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Previously, he referred to vaccines as "an incredible human success story," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" concludes with Neeson's script stating, "This isn't the conclusion of our narrative. Rather, it is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
