In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine sect.
The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
